Ja, normally open (abbreviated "n.o." or "no") and normally closed ("n.c." or "nc")
the contacts can either be normally open (abbreviated "n.o." or "no") until closed by operation of the switch, or normally closed ("n.c." or "nc") and opened by the switch action.
